When I hurt my back 5 months ago it was a huge bummer. I had to give up my 2 favorite lifts, try and remain chill as my body packed on weight, and I traded in the cool looking workouts for low impact routines in the geriatric section. It was definitely a test but I ended up learning so much about my body. Things are finally healing to the point where I can up my intensity again so mentally I'm feeling a lot of relief
I've been avoiding taking back progress pics because I assumed it was gonna look like shit but looky here! I have grown in new places and my physique is more balanced. I guess my point here is patience. Your body will respond to hard work, even if that hard work looks lame as hell. Also, progress doesn't always look like a six pack. I'm slowly learning to work as a team with my body rather than telling it what to do and it's pretty dope.
